Bismarck-Burleigh Public Health and the Heartview Foundation have received a $180,000 grant to address opioid abuse and overdose deaths.
The grant is through a larger, $2 million state targeted response grant North Dakota received in May from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. The federal grant aims to support localized approaches to opioid addiction and treatment.
Bismarck is one of five communities to receive the grant.
